In Samantha's words: "Oftentimes, we stand too close to the screen and do not realize how toxic the situations we are in are for us. It wasn’t until after losing my fiance to a drug overdose, that I realized how much his addiction had affected our lives, and how he would continue to have an impact as I continued to live without him."
