Bobby Hedglin-Taylor “The multi Hyphenated artist”. Trapeze artist-actor-dancer-singer- acrobat - impressionist-author- officiant- aerial sequence choreographer- stand up comic - mixologist - teacher - coach.
In Bobby's words:
"It was very telling being called the “multi-hyphenated artist”. I’ve done so many different creative things with my life and I will always be an artist no matter what medium of art I use or canvas. If I am using a pen and paper, a stage, a microphone, a trapeze or a cocktail shaker I am an artist first and foremost. (See my full bio below) Not just dabbling in other art forms but successful both artistically and financially in all of those platforms. I’m comfortable wearing the title. It suits me. :)
2020 was a painful year for me.
The pandemic began with the governor shutting down visitation to nursing homes and I wasn’t able to visit my mother who had been a resident of a local nursing home here for 5 years. Two days later Broadway shut down and my boss called me and said we’re shutting down for 2 weeks. 11 days later, my mother died in the nursing home. There was no covid test to give the actual cause of death, but with her symptoms leading up to her death, I’m confident in saying that it was not a coincidence when she passed and what I believe she died from. Losing my mother was huge. She was my best friend and my hero. She died on March 21st. The morning of March 22nd I woke up with a fever of 104, body aches, headache like an anvil sitting on my temple and I couldn’t smell or taste anything. Yes, I had Covid19. Terrified and isolated, I retreated and took care of myself until I could figure out and navigate a way to get through it. Fighting for my own life now, in my waking hours that I could focus and function I began to write."
The end result: Bobby is the Author of 2 books-
#ShitMyMamaSays (available on Amazon) and
Escape to Ravioli Mountain-a memoir in food (coming this fall).
3 top tips for my audience:

In Lawrence's words:
"I have always had a passion for helping to connect people through similar life experiences and challenges and found that creating a podcast was the best way to do this. I was given a harsh reality check that we are all only human. This came in the form of a brain tumour which I was diagnosed with in April 2019. In June 2019 I underwent brain surgery to remove a golf ball size tumour and although I have recovered physically I was not prepared for the emotional and financial impact this would have on myself and my family."

190 Doree O‘Neal - Are you a Hot Mess or a Daring Bad Ass?
Saturday Sep 18, 2021
Saturday Sep 18, 2021
Doree O’Neal is an author, an inspirational speaker, and a recovery coach, helping women that have recovered from addiction to find the lives they got sober for. She is a strong believer that we are on this earth to not just survive but thrive. Her first book, Seriously? How I Went from a Hot Mess to a Daring Bad Ass, was her way of sharing her personal experiences with alcoholism and recovery, surviving an abusive relationship, and how she let go of self-destructive behaviours. Through her own healing process, she was also able to discover her joy and happiness.
In Doree's words:
"Congratulations! You have given up drinking. You are feeling good physically and the fog has cleared. Then there comes an epiphany: I am sober, but the underlying problems are still there. Some may ask, “Why am I not happy? I got sober for this?”. My answer is “Yes!” But you do not have to figure this out alone! I am here to show you how to live and thrive in a life of recovery. Time to leave behind the hot mess, be daring and become the badass you were always meant to be!"
3 top tips for my audience:
1. Do not be afraid to give up things/ people that no longer suit you.
2. Try one thing that scares you.
3. Take 5 minutes for yourself daily.

Dylan is a TEDx Speaker and Addiction Recovery Advocate. His mission is to work with individuals and organizations to increase engagement in the addiction recovery process and improve long-term outcomes. He also likes to dance and do karaoke.
In Dylan's words:
"Addiction is a chronic state of isolation, disconnection, and suppression. We can liken it to living in the dark. When we are living in the dark, we are living in an absence of light; of information. Expression is the road on which we reconnect to ourselves and the world. It’s the way in which we turn the lights back on. By creating a safe culture for authentic expression, we make it possible for therapeutic experiences to occur. These experiences, grounded in self-expression, and contained in a safe way, drastically improve metrics associated with recovery: connection, vitality, wellbeing."
3 top tips for my audience:
1. Expression is the antidote to suppression (and disconnection)
2. Expression happens in the body, not the mind
3. Community is an essential ingredient

187 Kara Fernstrom - Unraveling Happiness & Making Friends
Saturday Sep 11, 2021
Saturday Sep 11, 2021
Kara Fernstrom: doer of things. Kara is a complex person with a complicated past. Less of an expert, and more of a lifelong learner, Kara spends all of her extra moments exploring wellbeing, happiness, and recording these fascinating conversations for the world to hear. A double whammy of vulnerability exposure therapy and tangible lessons and thoughts, her podcast, The Conquest of Bliss has literally transformed her life. Outside of the podcast, Kara spends her days making art, practising self-care, and trying to make the world a little nicer through relationships and interactions with other people.
In Kara's words:
Happiness and Well-being are big subjects with far-reaching consequences. Unravelling these ideas can be (and is, for many) a full-time job. Positive psychology, mindfulness, and self-compassion are all finally coming into vogue, but where do you find the time to sort out what all of these different ideas mean? Curiously, the curse of chronic illness, and consequently getting forced out of the workforce, blessed Kara with exactly that: time. And oh boy has she learned some fascinating things about happiness and is always excited to share them!
3 top tips for my audience:
1. Self compassion is key. How would you want someone to treat your best friend? Shouldn't you treat your best friend's best friend that way?
2. Read about how the brain works. Neuroscience, psychology, and similar studies help to unravel things that feel super mysterious.
3. Practice mindfulness to start understanding how your specific brain works. Mindfulness helps to clarify things that get clouded in emotion and trauma.

10in10 Lydia Knorr - Creating a life you love by discovering Y.O.U
Friday Sep 10, 2021
Friday Sep 10, 2021
Lydia Knorr has over two decades in the health and wellness industry, with the greatest part of her career, working in media. She has combined her passion for well-being and people engagement to provide coaching programs in the areas of personal growth, connection to self, and positive change. She helps others get to the heart of what truly matters to them and demonstrates how becoming more of themselves, not less, is exactly what the world needs. Lydia says that honoring our own uniqueness and extending that out into the world is the reason we are all here.
In Lydia's words:
Our personal stories are as unique as a fingerprint. Whether filled with hope, despair, victories, losses, darkness, or light, they are a collection of the lessons we’ve learned, the wisdom we’ve gained, and the growth we’ve experienced. They enable us to connect the dots of our lives, and create a roadmap to see how we arrived at the place we are today. This provides us with a depth of understanding about our own uniqueness that can be used as a gift and a guide for creating a window into our future and making our mark on the world.
3 top tips for my audience:
1. Practice self-awareness and get really honest with yourself about who you are and what you want from this life.
2. Adapt a positive mindset by looking for the silver linings in every situation, even when it’s hard. Ask yourself: What’s good about this situation? What can I learn from it? Is there something about this situation I can be grateful for? Hint: the answer is almost always a resounding YES.
3. Live in alignment with the things you value most, and you will get the most out of living.
