In John's words:
It wasn't alcohol for me, it was war. I spent my adult youth at war. Twelve out of my first fifteen years of adulthood in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. I was both traumatized without knowing and also a war addict. I couldn't leave and didn't know anything else. But eventually I was able to start healing and find my way. I ended up on a spiritual path, and now I help people help themselves. Find their wholeness inside. Their light. I believe we can use the crossroads of spirituality and lifestyle to live the best life for ourselves every single day. It's both esoteric and practical, just like the universe and world we live in. I am very much interested in how we discover our higher purpose/dharma and then align that with our day-to-day life. For me, this changed everything.
